6 Days to the Great Dunes

Your adventure begins in the morning with the MAGIC OF DESERT team. Together with our camels, we cross Lbour, an impressive landscape with small dunes and a vast tamarisk forest zone. In the afternoon, we reach Kriaat Jmal, where we set up our first camp. Enjoy a breathtaking sunset and a cozy dinner under the open sky.

After a hearty breakfast, our journey leads to the "Vallée de la Soif" – the Valley of Thirst. We cross a wide stony desert (Hamada) and take a break at the Tilhatin well. After several more kilometers through sandy landscapes dotted with a few trees, we reach Oued Laâtach, where our camp will be set up for the night.

Today, we head to the mysterious "Sacred Oasis" of Oum Laalag. Here, by a spring with shade-giving palm trees, we enjoy our lunch. In the afternoon, we continue to the monumental dunes of Chegaga – the largest in Morocco, reaching heights of up to 300 meters. From the top of these sand mountains, you can admire the infinity of the Sahara in all its glory. The evening ends with a campfire and traditional music.

After a restful night among the dunes, we set off towards Kharte El Gerzime, where we will have lunch. In the afternoon, we explore an impressive dune landscape that leads us to Bougarn. The evening will end by the campfire with a traditional nomad meal, including the famous "sand bread," baked directly in the hot desert sand.

With the first rays of the sun, we begin our daily stage to the "Vallée des Autruches" – the Valley of the Ostriches. With a bit of luck, we encounter free-roaming ostriches and gazelles. After a lunch break at a well, we continue our journey to the dunes of Bertham. Here, we set up our final camp and enjoy a special farewell night in the desert, accompanied by the traditional music of the "Blue Men" – the Sahraouis.

After a final desert breakfast, we begin our return to M'Hamid. The route takes us through Ras n’Khal, the end of the palm groves, before finally arriving back in M'Hamid in the afternoon. Here, we bid farewell to our camels and companions, carrying unforgettable memories of this unique adventure.
