8 Days in Southern Morocco: Culture and Nature

Welcome to Morocco! Upon arrival at Agadir airport, you'll be warmly greeted and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax by the beach or stroll along the seaside promenade to unwind after your journey.

Overnight Stay: Agadir

After breakfast, your private driver picks you up and the adventure begins. First stop: Taroudant, a picturesque town with ancient city walls and a vibrant souk. After a traditional market stroll, we continue through Taliouine—famous for its saffron—where we pause for lunch. By late afternoon, we arrive at the legendary mud-brick village of Aït-Ben-Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Overnight Stay: Aït-Ben-Haddou

Start the day with some photos of Aït-Ben-Haddou bathed in the morning light. Then, we travel through the majestic High Atlas Mountains, crossing the scenic Tizi n'Tichka Pass at 2,260 meters. Once in Marrakech, you’ll check into a charming riad, with the rest of the afternoon free to explore. Wander the souks, marvel at snake charmers in Djemaa el Fna, or simply enjoy mint tea from a rooftop café.

Today, dive into the heart of Marrakech. Visit the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, the ornate Bahia Palace, and the mysterious Saadian Tombs. Take a peaceful stroll through the vibrant Majorelle Garden. In the evening, the famous Djemaa el Fna square comes alive with street performers, musicians, and sizzling food stalls.

Overnight Stay: Marrakech

After a relaxed breakfast, we head to the Atlantic coast and the charming port town of Essaouira. After checking into your hotel, enjoy free time to explore the whitewashed medina, taste fresh seafood by the harbor, or unwind on the beach.

Today is yours to explore at your own pace. Visit the old Portuguese fortress, get lost in the narrow alleys, or take a scenic walk along the ocean. Optional activities include horseback riding along the beach or a traditional hammam experience.

After a relaxed morning, we journey back to Agadir. On the way, we stop at a local women’s argan oil cooperative to learn about the traditional process behind this precious oil. Once back in Agadir, enjoy some last-minute shopping at one of the largest souks in Africa or a final stroll along the beach.
