Vivez la diversité du Sahara

9 Days 8 Nights

In the morning, we set off from M’Hamid with our guides and camel caravan, heading toward Boumrad — the water source that supplies M’Hamid. In the evening, we set up our first camp, enjoy the warmth of the campfire, and fall asleep beneath a sparkling sky, or in a tent if preferred.

We continue through the stark yet fascinating landscape of the Hamada. Our destination is El Hassi Labiad, the “white well,” surrounded by majestic acacia trees. In the distance rise the mountains of Jbel Bani, a stunning panorama that accompanies us on our journey.

Today we reach the legendary oasis of Oum Lâalag, a natural spring deep in the desert. Local legend says a protective spirit watches over this place. We set up camp near the spring and spend a peaceful night in this magical setting.

After breakfast, we head into the vast sandy landscapes of Erg Lghol, also called the “Dunes of the Ghosts.” Here, the horizon melts into golden waves of sand, and the silence of the desert feels especially profound.

Our route leads us to Erg Chantouf, a picturesque valley basin with shady tamarisk trees. A well hidden deep in the sand provides fresh water. After a day of exploration, we gather around the campfire and enjoy a freshly prepared meal.

We trek onward toward Erg Bougarn, a remote and rarely visited region of soft sand dunes, tamarisks, and acacias. This tranquil setting is perfect for soaking in the silence and connecting deeply with the desert.

Today our caravan moves toward the Bertham dunes, where traces of nomadic life and camel herds can be seen. We end the day in Oued N’Aame, a dry river valley that once carried water through the desert.

We reach Sidi Naji, a sacred site and burial place of a revered nomadic ancestor. Surrounded by a striking palm oasis, this location forms a powerful contrast with the surrounding barren desert.

After a final breakfast together, we begin our return journey to M’Hamid. With unforgettable memories in our hearts, we bid farewell to the desert and its unique magic.
