Coast and Desert – 7 days with camel trekking

Welcome to Morocco! You will be picked up at Agadir Airport and transferred to your hotel near the beach. From here, you can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of this coastal city. A walk along the promenade or a visit to the souks will set the tone for your adventure.

After breakfast, your driver will pick you up in a comfortable 4x4 vehicle from your hotel, and we’ll head through the fascinating landscape toward Taliouine, the famous saffron town of Morocco. Here, you will learn about the cultivation and harvest of this precious plant, “Red Gold.” There will be plenty of time for lunch. Afterward, we continue on to Ait Ben Haddou, the impressive UNESCO World Heritage site with its centuries-old adobe structures. On a walk through the steep alleys of the kasbah, we’ll soak in the special atmosphere of this place.

We continue our journey through the picturesque Draa Valley, one of the greenest oases in Morocco, lined with countless palm trees. We will take a lunch break in Zagora, then continue through small Berber villages until we finally reach M’hamid – the gateway to the Sahara. Our Magic of Desert Camp is already waiting for us with cozy desert lodges, traditional meals, and an unforgettable evening under the starlit sky.

The adventure begins! We drive across a sand track through the diverse desert landscape in a 4x4. A highlight is the Sacred Oasis, a natural spring in the middle of the Sahara. We take a lunch break under the shade of palm trees, enjoy some tea, and have lunch served. Then we continue to the majestic dunes of Erg Chegaga, where the vastness and utter silence of the desert greet us. Enjoy the sunset from one of Morocco’s highest dunes, and then spend the evening by a crackling campfire.

After a peaceful night in the desert and a hearty breakfast, we continue our journey. We cross the vast plains of the Iriki Lake, a dried-up salt lake that impresses with its surreal beauty. We’ll take a short tea or snack break in Foum Zguid before reaching the small town of Taznakht, famous for its hand-woven Berber carpets. Here, we will have the opportunity to learn about the art of carpet weaving.

Our journey takes us to Taroudant, also known as “Little Marrakech.” The city impresses with its mighty city walls and colorful souks. After a brief sightseeing tour and lunch, we return to Agadir, where we will enjoy the final evening of our trip in a relaxed manner.
