We cross the dry riverbed of the Dr\u00e2a and walk through the palm groves south of M\u2019hamid. In the late afternoon, we arrive at Rass N\u2019khal \u2013 a peaceful spot surrounded by gentle dunes and acacias. The landscape constantly changes: sand fields, rocky plains, and scattered tamarisks alternate. In the distance, the dark silhouettes of the Kraab Mountains emerge \u2013 a silent horizon at the Algerian border. Then we approach the massive dunes of Erg Zahar \u2013 also known as the \u201csinging dunes.\u201d When the wind sweeps through the fine sand, a deep humming is created, resonating deep within the body.
