5 Days Out of Time

The tour begins at our camp, MAGIC OF DESERT. After a warm welcome and a brief briefing, the camels are loaded, and your desert adventure begins. Together with the camels and our experienced nomadic guides, we start our trek towards the palm oasis of M’hamid. After about two and a half hours, we reach a shaded resting spot, where we enjoy lunch and have time to rest.

In the afternoon, we continue our journey and after another three hours, we arrive at Sidi Naji, a historical burial site with nomadic significance. We set up camp nearby, enjoy a warm tea, and a fire-cooked dinner before falling asleep under the glittering starry sky or inside the tent in the complete stillness of the desert.

After a cozy breakfast, we break camp and load our luggage onto the camels. Today's stage takes us deeper into the desert, across vast plains and through gently rolling sand dunes. After about two hours, we reach a shaded tamarisk tree, where we have lunch and relax.

In the afternoon, we continue towards Erg Zahar, also known as the "Singing Dunes," famous for their breathtaking acoustics and spectacular sand formations. As the sun sets, the dunes are bathed in golden hues, and we set up camp. After dinner, we end the day with stories around the campfire.

The morning begins with a hearty breakfast amidst the dunes. Our caravan sets off and leads us through the dried-up Draâ Valley, where stony deserts meet sand dunes, creating a fascinating landscape. After two and a half hours, we arrive at Erg Smar, an old, abandoned desert village that has almost been swallowed by the dunes.

After a long lunch break and some rest, we continue towards Kriaat Jmal, a picturesque region with small, gentle sand dunes. Here, we set up camp again and experience the indescribable peace of the desert.

Today, we continue our hike through the heart of the Sahara. After breakfast, we travel for two to two and a half hours through the dune landscape until we reach Lbor. Here, we enjoy a generous lunch and a restful break before heading towards Erg Bertham. This place is known for its vast sand fields and impressive landscapes. We set up camp in a sheltered dune hollow and spend the night surrounded by the endless desert.

After one last night in the desert, we set off in the morning towards Mezouaria. We take a midday break before embarking on the final stretch back to M’hamid.
In the afternoon, we reach M’hamid and bid farewell to our team and the loyal camels, taking with us unforgettable memories of a magical journey through the Sahara.
